When The Paleface was released, Jane and Bob Hope developed a live routine they took on the road to perform in between screenings. Never one to fuss about her appearance, Jane made sure that hotels were booked in walking distance of the theater, so she could roll out of bed and run over in time for the first curtain of the day.
